Another sorbet to cleanse the Awesomeitude palette is schadenfreude. (shameful joy, you uneducated dink) Under this category fall my love of The Girls Next Door, Quarter Pounders with Cheese, ego trip's The White Rapper Show, and this newest obsession: Flavor of Love Charm School. This show dares to ask the question "where do you go once a man who wears Ikea clocks as jewellery kicks you to the curb? It's truly awesomely bad, and always a good addition to the old Tivo for viewing on a rainy day, or while hung over. Memorable scenes include an engineering feat of tape applied to a "big titty girl," The "Master Debate," and a guest spot from "New York"

If the phrase "Who DIS?" ran through your mind when you saw this mug, you are NOT ALONE, my friend. Soon, you will be hearing his voice OVER AND OVER AND OVER once Ratatouille comes out (no this is not an ad for a Disney movie, I take birth control, thank you very much!) But BETTER than that (and better still than King of Queens, Patton's other meal ticket, being cancelled) is that Patton has his sophomore comedy album coming out this summer on Sub Pop. Honestly, I peed a little the first time I heard "feelin' kinda patton" (his routine called "facts about midgets" made me nearly crash someone's car.) Now, in his newest release, he takes on Cirque du Soleil, and the morning after pill, with hysterically funny results. The album drops July 10, 2007.

Tangentially connected to Judd Apatow and the team that brought you "those funny movies that are actually watchable and funny" is Superbad, which looks like it will most likely be referred to by lazy writers as "this year's Napoleon Dynamite!" (yeah that's why they ran the projectors in High School, dude) but actually is probably a killer romp that will be the summer's must see flick after Knocked Up. Basically, what I'm saying is, save your dollhairs you would have spent seeing Bruce Almighty (seriously, dude, no one's Moses is going to beat the comedic prowess of Charlton Heston!) and go see this. See it for the sake of Michael Cera, who played George Michael Bluth in Arrested Development, and stars in this hillarious "deleted" scene from Knocked Up.

There was much brouhaha when the United States implemented their DO NOT CALL list to help people "eat in Goddamned Peace"( --My Dad ) and few people know that there is a similar service in Canada. Click here to register (applies to fax numbers and mobiles, too) and start enjoying the freedom of knowing that you will never get hustled to attend another circus.

While this blog is intended to mostly highlight the things in my own life that I find awesome, there are those times when things are NAFF and I must speak up about them. For those times, there is the clasification "Richard Gere Posse"
This term, meant in a derogatory manner stems from a conversation I had with my BFF (dre, you know who you are) whereby I got unnaturally angry at Richard Gere for something unrelated to him. As such, the name lives on, and you will see this delightful picture to signal when something is "not on"
Explanation: Richard Gere Posse

I am a complete makeup junkie, and as such, I am always seeking to streamline operations. (carrying around a thousand products in your purse makes you look like a crazy aunt) so, when i came across the big sister to this product last winter, i did not hesitate. Of course, then Sephora ran off and made the teenier version which is more travel-worthy. What separates this product from the countless shitty mega palettes you can get from Shopper's Drug Mart? The quality of the powders, and the colour selection, Even the brightest, craziest colours in this little kit go on a treat, and don't look like an Australian's nightmare.
Another great item that is worth its weight in gold is bareMinerals powder foundation. It's gossamer-light but powerful ( i had a particularly BAD burn on my face over the May 24th weekend, and this was all I used to cover it. Bonus: it didn't hurt, and has SPF 15 in it! Also, I did an appearance on TV not too long ago, and this was all I used for foundation (I hate liquid foundation) and it looked incredible.Cosmitude: Sephora Summer Blockbuster Palette/bareMinerals

I love Judd Apatow. When I first saw Undeclared (yes, I came late to the Judd Party, sorry hipsterz) I had tears of laughter. When I saw the previews for Knocked Up, HONESTLY, I thought he had already "Sandlered" (hey dude, Billy Madison is the shiznit, the rest, not so much) but I am happy to say that, when I went to see the press preview, (Thanks Renee and McGrath) we all nearly died. It's supremely funny, and even surpasses the 40 year old virgin. The subject matter may be more pedestrian, but its treatment is much harsher, and it does not rely on touchy-feely treacle to cut the piss and vinegar. You NEED to see this movie in droves, not just because it's good, but because you can send studios a message buy only buying tickets to good shit like this, instead of shitty shit like Good Luck Chuck. (Seriously, how untalented is Dane Cook? He's the shitstain that didn't quite come out in the laundry, but no one has the heart to throw out the offending underwear) But enough about stuff that sucks...
There is a scene in this movie that takes place at one of my favourite places on earth, the Original Pantry in Central LA (near the Staples Centre) and I even have 2 mugs to commemorate my love of that place and their KILLER short stack of pancakes (their standard full breakfast is also a winner, with lemonade or iced tea.) This place is not a celebrity haunt, nor is it a cult-like place like pinkberry or the old Hearst building. (What, those people are LITIGIOUS) So, to see it in a movie made me very happy. (Bob, we have to get some of those pancakes soon)

This is not just about Jonathan Rhys-Meyers setting my loins ablaze since Match Point. The Tudors explores the seamiest and most explosive time in the history of the British Empire and exposes to most just how horny people in history always have been. (If it wasn't for Historical boners, none of us would be here. show some respect.) I know it's a tough sell, but if you're not watching this, you're missing out on what the NYT called the best series since the Sopranos. Here's what it's got:
